Welcome to G84 Junior Netball Club -
Sports Organisation of the Year 09/10
Welcome to the website that has been created to support the development of the junior players of G84 and their parents. This site contains up to date information with regards to the workings of the club and should act as an additional resource for our members to make their netball as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
G84 was established in September 2009. The club is lucky to have a couple of level 2 netball coaching staff whose knowledge of the sport and enthusiasm has made the initiation of this thriving junior club streamlined. This has already been reflected in the depth of junior talent that has been welcomed since the official opening in August 2009.
The aim of G84 is to promote netball in the West Dunbartonshire and Southern Argyll and Bute area and to extend this wonderful game to as many juniors as possible. The club trains regularly at Helensburgh's most advanced indoor sports hall and the committee thank the support that it has received from Lomond School throughout the initiation of this venture.
Development of the Club - 2011/2012 Season
Training Times and Venue
We train on Tuesday Nights 5pm till 6pm for under 13's
6pm till 7.30pm for under 15/17
We train on a Thursday night 5.15pm till 6.15pm for Nippers (primary 1 to 4/5)
Both Nights are based at the new Lomond Gym opposite the cricket club.
Coaching Information - 2011/2012 Season
We have 2 level 2 coaches who are Jennifer Wilkie and Linda Boyd, we have 2 level 1 coaches who are Sarah Small and Geraldine Wilkie.
Everyone who works with our young nippers have completed the 'Getting Started Course'.
Under 11's are coached by Geraldine Wilkie, Robert Wilkie with Kelly Girling, supporting them.
Nippers are coached By Evelyn Cormack, Sarah Small, Jennifer Wilkie, supported by Sally Mc Carthney, Kelsey Pearson, Nicole Johnson.
Under 13's, Under5's are coached by Jennifer Wilkie, Linda Boyd, supported by Geraldine Wilkie, Lisa Mc Donald, Sarah Small.
Volunteers - 2011/2012 Season
As with every club, Volunteers are always needed and with the Club opening up to more age groups, we would be grateful for your help. If you can spare one or two hours every week, or every fortnight or every month then we would love to hear from you. Similarly if you feel that you can offer some time and / or talents to the Club then please email Geraldine on the undernoted email. Please note that your child does not need to be a member of the Club. All coaches and volunteers are disclosed through the CRBS via Netball Scotland.

AWARD FOR G84
G84 Junior Netball Club have been awarded 'Sports Organisation of the Year' in Argyll and Bute for 2010
Coaches Linda and Jennifer along with some of the volunteers from the Club attended the presentation on Friday 11th June at Argyll and Bute Council Headquarters at Kilmory Castle, Lochgilphead
A SUPERB ACHIEVEMENT IN OUR FIRST YEAR!
SUMMER 2011 TRAINING
We start back at training on the Tue 23rd Aug 5pm and Thu 25th Aug at 5.15pm.
GLASGOW DISTRICT TRIALS
We got 8 girls onto Glasgow District Squad. Their Names are Iona Stewart, Katherine Walker,Maddy Joseph,Mackensie Serpell,Rhona Price,Sally Ram Rebecca Edgar, Iona Hamilton.
AGM & PRESENTATION OF AWARDS
Presentation /AGM is being held on the 16th of Aug 6pm till 10pm at the Ardencaple Hotel. Tickets �2.50 each or �8 for family ticket (2 Adults,2children)
FUNDRAISING
We donated �300 to Colgrain Riding for the Disabled and presented the cheque to them on the 20th of July 2011
